Our Mission

Native Hope exists to address the injustice done to Native Americans.

We dismantle barriers through storytelling and impactful programs to bring healing and inspire hope.

Our Vision

A world with no barriers for Native Americans.

Over the course of two centuries in North America, there was a near genocide of Native American peoples and their way of life. Now, the unhealed wounds of this genocide continue to affect the health and prosperity of Native communities across the continent.

It is time for a healing of these historical wounds and a restoration of trust.
Native Hope is a resource that helps Native communities meet their needs. We talk with community members, listen to their challenges, and partner with tribal entities to find solutions—in a unified effort to dismantle barriers, empower leaders, and give hope for a promising tomorrow.

We respect the sovereignty of Native nations. Their leaders and communities know what is best for their people. Today, despite limited funding, tribes are working to rebuild a strong foundation and achieve sustainability. These resilient people are on a journey of rediscovery and healing.

How We Work

Native Hope in Action

As allies, we listen to needs, rely on connections with other partners and with our donors to create a network of support, and then take action to reach the identified goals. We meet each nation where it is in order to develop long-lasting and productive relationships.

1. Listen to Needs

Our projects are born out of conversations. We listen to community members and talk with local leaders and partners to discover how we can help Native American tribes as a friend and ally.

2. Create Networks

No one accomplishes anything great alone. That's why we rely on networks of support, from other partners in the community, to local volunteers, to our generous donors who make projects possible.

3. Take Action

Once we've identified the need and rallied the help of partners and supporters,  projects begin! We take direct, immediate action to reach the identified goal and to improve the lives of the Native peoples we serve.

4. Develop Relationships

Trust and hope are built slowly over time. We work with tribal nations on their terms, with the goal of creating and maintaining long lasting relationships of mutual support.
