What is a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving program that allows you to reap maximum tax benefits while supporting the causes that move you. To create a DAF, you deposit cash, securities, and other assets in a fund then delegate how they are distributed. A DAF is a simple, flexible, and efficient way to manage charitable giving.

How do I make a grant with my DAF?

If you already have a DAF, you can make a grant to Native Hope with the click of a button! Use the widget below to invest in the future of Native American children and families.

Join the #HalfMyDAF Challenge and support Native Hope today.

Together we’ll double our impact.

1. Make a grant to Native Hope through your Donor Advised Fund.

2. Once you receive your grant confirmation, nominate Native Hope for a matching grant before September 30, 2020 using the #HalfMyDAF commitment form.

3. Starting in mid-May, #HalfMyDAF will post names of #HalfMyDAF Heroes and the non-profits they chose to support. (Don’t worry, they won’t attach your name to the amount you’ve given and if you prefer, you can remain completely anonymous). Find out more about how #HalfMyDAF will pick the non-profits to receive matching gifts here

4. Spread the word! The more donors who accept the #HalfMyDAF challenge by making a grant to Native Hope, the more we can support Native communities.
